OK, that's not really Oklahoma. But I did do research there!

Welcome to Michael Reichert’s lab at Oklahoma State University

We study the evolution of behaviors, in particular animal communication and cognition. Our aim is to understand the strategies used by animals to deal with complex environments, whether signaling to dispute resources or attract mates, or navigating the habitat in search of food. We perform field and lab-based investigations of behavior and take an integrative approach where we examine the evolution of behaviors in the context of sensory and cognitive capabilities of the study species. We focus primarily on acoustic communication in frogs and insects.
